Structural Engineering

"Participants apply the principles of structural design and engineering through basic research, design, construction, and destructive testing to determine the design efficiency of a structure. The onsite semifinalist problem will be a variation of the pre-conference problem."

For the Connecticut State Conference, this competition entails building a bridge according to the Competitive Events Guidelines specs and having it judged on-site at the day of the conference. There is no semifinal competition. Individuals or teams of two (1-2) can participate.

Physical copy of drawings and all required documentation
